Every February, on a Tuesday evening outside of Lilac class time, children who volunteer to be part of the show sing, dance, recite poetry, read original works, perform skits, juggle, etc. Children also exhibit art work. The Talent Show is a fun and casual opportunity for our children to share
what they enjoy doing outside of class by performing or displaying their artwork.
After normal pick-up time and/or playground time, families may grab a
bite out, or bring their own picnic dinner and gather in the
fellowship hall to eat together.
One thing that touches my heart each year is witnessing families shine together – whether in family performances or in glowing faces and smiling eyeballs connecting with each other from the stage to the audience. I think that the Talent Night, more than any other Lilac special event, allows the families, no matter their structure, to show their beauty. Namaste, P.L.
